Hi everyone,
I just found out i have been accepted to fleming college in Peterborough ontario. Very exciting! I have been reading question and answers on this site for the past year and notice there is very little about fleming college. So im just wondering if there is anyone om here who has completed the Practical nursing program there or will be attending. I start September 2018 so just trying to get a good idea of what to expect. For example what was your scedule like, difficulty, placement choices for the last semester and any tips you may have for someone about to enter the program:) thanks in advance !

Hello!
I did not attend the program. But I was also accepted for September intake! Are you for sure going? Did you apply anywhere else ?
Thanks!
Thats awesome congrats! Yes i accepted my offer already:) I also applied to durham college because its closer but didn't get accepted. How about you?
Thank you!!
I applied to a couple RN programs just waiting to hear back but if those are a no I'll be for sure going to Fleming :)
I'm super relieved I got it. Will you be commuting from the Durham area? I'll be commuting as well.
Oh awesome good luck!! And me aswell, my average wasnt the greatest so i was suprised that i got accepted. And yes i will be from uxbridge area. Going to be a long drive but hopefully worth it!:)
Also do you find it odd that flemming tuition is so expensive for he RPN program? Durham college is only around 4300$ per year and flemming is 3980$ per semester! Almost double durham. I am so confused about this.
Sorry for the late reply, I just saw your comments now!
I did not know there was a difference... Wow that stresses me out.. I do not know why.. But that's annoying
I also just looked into other college fees for this program such as Conestoga, Mohawk and Algonquin and they are ALL cheaper by at least 2 grand for the year .. What the actual heck
I know it honestly makes no sense. I emailed them about it thinking it was a mistake and they said that it is true. I think i may call again just to make sure because there tuition is like university tuition and that is not right lol.
I was defintley going to call them..
Yeah and considering all the other schools are so much cheaper? It doesn't make sense and is really unfair. Like how are they legally able to do that lol?
I've already been to university so it would be nice to save some money...
So stressful. Now I'm regretting not even applying to Durham
I know it really makes no sense. Hoping it is a misunderstanding and is cheaper. But by the way they replied to my email it seems its true. Which suchs because im going to spend the most money cummuting there aswell because it is the furthest college.
Yeah that does suck! I feel yah I have to commute from Whitby area..
Ughhhh that's so annoying and stresful
