Has anyone ouy there had or heard of anyone working there? I would just like to know if its a good teaching hospital, and what kind of reputation it has. o yeh and is the area nice. anything really so i can have a picture of what I'll soon be living in which I have been planning for almost a year. Most Scottish nurses I know did the working visa but I plan on settling in Sydney and travelling thre on my own. thanks anyone.:chuckle:chuckle

Hi,

I haven't worked at RNSH myself but my friend did. It is apparently an older hospital bricks and mortar wise but is a large full tertiery teaching hospital. It has an extensive critical care service and all specialties. I don't know if you will need it but the very cheap short term accomodation they can provide apparently doesn't have proper cooking facilites, just a microwave, but my friend lived there the entire six months she worked there and saved loads of money.

All the best, I loved living and working in Australia!

Hi, thanks for letting me know as I havent been told much about my jo or area which I am in the process of doing, but the agency that I am going with had told me there was no accommodation the hospital could provide????? Think I'll ask again. cheers.:chuckle

Why don't you email the hospital nursing services directly and enquire about possible accommodation?
