Hello all,
I am a few weeks into my LVN program. I did it because I did not get into any ADN/BSN programs my first try and did not want to wait. Although, I was advised to reapply for schools in the fall. I originally applied for Spring schools, which are limited since most schools only accept once a year for FALL. If I hear back in May, I would drop LVN. If I don't get in, no worries I have my LVN program to continue anyways. In the scenario that I DID GET INTO AN ADN program, would it be worth it to go that route? From my understanding, an ADN and ADN-BSN route will be cheaper than LVN and LVN-RN overall. Especially if an LVN-RN is only for ADN, I would have to go back for BSN. I live in the Bay Area.
Does anybody have advice? Is my way of understanding the whole pathway to BSN correct?
Thank you!!

Do what you deem prudent in terms of saving time and money, but keep in mind your chances for success. Sometimes things happen that could put a bug in your tea and then you might not find yourself progressing.
Since my goal is to be an RN, having the opportunity to go to an RN school would be a blessing... part of me wanted to finish LVN school just to get that "nurse" title more quickly. Although, I'm thinking even after I finish my LVN, how long would the wait be until I get into an RN school is the question...
Schools should be talking about admissions soon, but COVID has hit and things have been pushed back a little.
I appreciate the response although my time getting back to you has been overdue!
