Roseman University Spirng/February 2021 Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to start this forum to reach out to students who are also applying for the Spring 2021 Cohort at Roseman University. I am from California and I am hoping to get into the Henderson Campus. We can use this forum to bounce questions off of each other and to get information.

This is my first time applying to the program. I have tried to apply to a program where I live in Fresno, California and unfortunately there was too much competition and not enough spaces so I am going to actively go after.

Does anyone know how many people typically apply for the program? I know they accept about 70 people between the two campuses, but I am not really too clear on how they determine who get in. I have a TEAS score of 82 and a GPA of about 3.3. I don’t know if this is competitive enough to get into the program.

If I do get in, I would like to use this forum to communicate with my future classmates. I will be moving so hopefully from this we can get roommate ideas or housing suggestions. Have a great one.

Hi! I've been reading this board to get an idea about interviews. I wanted to say that I just received an invitation to interview!

@nursen24  Thats awesome!  Keep us posted to get an idea of what the interview process is like.  Good Luck!

Hey! Got my interview invite 20min ago.

CONGRATS those who got invites! Do you mind sharing stats. I’m trying to figure out how much I need to improve my GPA and retake TEAS

Hey! I have a 3.8 science and 3.7 overall. TEAS was a 86.

My advisor sent me this TEAS score guide. Says 75-80% is usually what gets you accepted. I’d imagine any TEAS above 80% and a 3.5GPA would make you a very competitive candidate. Has your advisor given you an idea of how much you need to improve your GPA?

Thank you for sharing.

When you say 3.5 GPA, is that over all (latest 60 credit) Or prerequisite GPA?

I was told competitive range is 78-85% for an overall score.

No my advisor barely gives me any advice other than the obvious (I.e retake your C grade class, etc...) it wasn’t until a random advisor answered my generic email couple weeks ago I got a lil more Insight... it’s been a year and half of my applying and upping my GPA which was bare minimum in beginning so thanks for info!

Hi,

I also got an invite to the interview! I had around a 3.4 in my last 60 credit GPA. I also had around a 3.4 in my prereq GPA. 86% TEAS.

Hi guys!

I also received an invite to interviews on Sept 16. I am hoping to get accepted to the Henderson campus ABSN program. Some background for those wondering about stats: I received my B.S degree in Microbiology.

TEAS test score: 91%.

Pre-req GPA: 3.66

Last 60 unit GPA: 3.65

Good luck everyone!

Hello!

Can anyone who has previously interviewed shed some light on what to expect/sample interview questions?

also, curious what the stats are on if you get an interview, how likely are you to get accepted? Does anyone know someone who has interviewed and been rejected? Did they give them a reason why they were rejected?

thanks in advance ? !

Hi! I look at previous cohort discussion boards on here for all the questions. I interviewed before and didn’t get in- my GPA was barely above the minimum like below 3.0 after interview they advised me to retake courses to increase my GPA which I’ve been doing .

I am kind of in the same situation. I haven't applied yet because I need to take TEAS exam soon. My GPA is slightly below 3.0 and prerequisite GPA is 3.4 .

If you don't mind, can I ask what is your TEAS score??   I wish to get some idea how much TEAS score I need to get with this GPA..
