Roseman University BSN (Fall 2019 Cohort)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! This topic is for students applying for BSN at Roseman University (August 2019). To those who had interview yesterday (1/16), how do you guys feel about it?

@RiriTheRookie I feel you. For one of the questions I had to ask for them to repeat it again. I initially got nervous, but managed to answer it. I hope it was okay since afterward one of the lady’s said that was a great answer??!! And as for my essay, I think I have never wrote an essay that fast. I literally managed to put all of my thoughts together very fast.

Yeah, they seemed really nice. I just can’t wait! I want to hear back already.

Hi guys!

I was also in the interview on 3/12. The lady who interviewed me was very nice and straightforward. Her questions were situational, and I felt comfortable talking to her. My interview was almost just conversational. It lasted less than 20 mins. Although the questions were simple, I still don’t feel 100%. For the essay, I felt rambled, and I felt like I just had so many thoughts but so little time. Anyone else felt that way? I know it’s just been 3 days, but I can’t help but overthink. ?

My stats are: (not confident about my math and science gpa tho ?)

Overall GPA: 3.72

Math and Science GPA: 3.22

TEAS: 89.3

Your stats are great! I wouldn’t worry too much. Are you aiming for Henderson?

@RiriTheRookie

Yes! I am aiming for Henderson, and hopefully I get in. I don’t think I will be able to relocate if ever. How about you? ?

Hey @Khaleesy

which lady was the one who interviewed you? The one we eating grey scrubs?

Btw, do you guys remember the amount of students they mentioned that apply each year?

I believe so. Everything went by fast, and it was such a blur. All I could remember is she had defined eyebrows and wavy hair.

I’m aiming for Henderson as well! I’ll be relocating from the Bay Area, hopefully.

As for the amount of students who apply each year, I believe that the dean said that this cycle had anywhere from 300-500 applicants, but I’m not sure how accurate that is. Either way, I don’t believe everyone was called back for an interview, despite being eligible. I do know that Henderson will be accepting about 56 students whereas South Jordan will be accepting 32 at the very least.

Cool. I’ll be praying for both of us to get accepted in Henderson! I feel like we have an advantage because we applied early.

Would you mind sharing the questions that you were asked? ?

I’m praying as well!

I remember being asked about working with an uncooperative team member/coworker, what kept me motivated and prepared for nursing school, qualities I believe a nurse should have, and a time where my integrity was questioned. What about you?

I guess the questions vary depending on the interviewer. Mine were simple. For the essay, I was asked to describe how I managed multiple tasks/goals in my academic life. And then for the interview itself, I think I was just asked 4 questions. It started with the infamous “tell me about yourself”, then the first question was why do I want to be a nurse. I was also asked why I chose Roseman, and give a situation when I had a misunderstanding/conflict with a colleague and how I resolved it.
