Roseman ABSN February 2024

Published

Hi! I haven't seen a thread for Roseman's ABSN February 2024 so I thought I'd create one. I just received an interview invite today and my interview will be in a few weeks, I am so nervous!

Yeah the average in Utah is around $1200-$1400 right now, I think your best bet might be looking for a roommate to split it with ? if I come across any that are cheap and in a good area I'll let you know!

Thank u! I was thinking about getting a roommate for an option, too. It's hard to be paying $1200-$1400 on top of what I pay here for our home in San Jose. LOL

My friend that goes there right now stays at South Jordan Apartments and pays a decent price for a 2 bedroom.  Was also looking at Houses in the area and they are very cheap if it is possible to find 2-3 roommates.

How much is she paying for a 2-bedroom?

Hello Everyone!

Hi! If you go to page 2, that page will show you some of the questions that we were asked during round 1 of interviews. The first hour and a half was basically just going over financial aid etc. and then they pull you individually into breakout rooms for your interview which only lasts like 5-10 minutes. Some of us got asked 2 questions while some got asked 5. It just depends who you end up getting when you get pulled into a breakout room. Hope that helps, Goodluck with your interview!

Hi!

I got asked 3 questions by a professor from Henderson and another from South Jordan. See below:

1. Do you think that caring and/or compassion should be the foundation of nursing? Why or why not?

2. Tell me about a time that you worked on a project and your partner didn't do her/his share of the work.

3. What did you do to prepare for Nursing school?

4. How do you handle conflict?

Then they ask you if you have any questions for them. The whole interview probably took about 10 minutes. I had 2 questions which both professors answered for me.

Good luck! ?

I meant there were 4 questions ?

Hi! As for the zoom interview process go? will we be speaking to the professors individually or as a group?  Also, on the e-mail it states the interview is from 12pm-5pm.

It's individually. After the presentation with financial advisors, you wait your turn to be pulled into separate zoom rooms for your individual interview. There will be two people in that room that will be interviewing you. When we were given the time frame, it didn't end up taking the whole time. I think they just give it just in case

Hello Everyone, Current ABSN student here at roseman. Just wanted to throw you guys a nugget before started the program. I would suggest buying and reading the book called clinical judgment and test taking strategies if you want to know about the type of questions you will see on exams, how to answer them and to study. This book is amazing and I wish I would have read it before starting the program.

THANK ME LATER

If you have questions don't hesitate to ask me.

Hello @Futurenurseso

Thank you so much for the book recommendation! Can you also please provide screenshot and/or ISBN# for the Pharmacology block as I know that is one of the most difficult classes in nursing school to pass. My youngest daughter is currently a 3rd year BSN student at a college in Hawaii (and straight A student), but had to take it twice. So I want to start reading up on it now.
Thanks! ?

Hello All,

Curious if anyone that was accepted to Henderson lives in the San Diego area?
