Same here.. but it is frustrating not knowing what is going to happen. I am grateful I was given the opportunity to attend the info session but I wonder if they already have some people on their mind. They said info session is not scored, it is just a "get to know you better". But some people receive the accpetance letter within 48 hrs of the info session.. im thinking I probably had no chance of getting it 🫠

Yeah they kept saying that it didn't count for admissions but then would write furiously as people where answering questions so it definitely counted LOL I feel like the chances of getting off hold aren't great but I'm holding out hope!

do you guys feel like you prepared enough for the kira assessment? Literally none of the questions I developed answers for came up. I hope I did well. Also, so as im reading the process is application, kira assessment, live zoom, and then acceptance/Waitlist?

Those of you who were placed on hold and/or haven't heard back at all do you feel like the info session went well? Even though they said it's not graded. (No judgement at all just genuinely wondering what your thoughts were after the session) just trying to get a gauge on how the info session goes and if people feel like they are vocal enough or wish they were more/less. Again totally just asking!! Good vibes and wishing the best for everyone! This process is brutal!

I think it definitely matters. The info session is a direct way for them to know you.

Do you feel like it was more Emotional Intelligence or something different? I have done Kira before but I feel like I never know what to expect! I'm sure you did great. Even if the exact questions were different than you prepped you at least prepped so it will show! And yes I'm with you that's what I'm understanding the process to be as well.

I went to the 11/18 session, just got admission email mid day yesterday to Illinois campus.

Congratulations! Was that the location you were wanting? Fo you mind sharing just a few stats and any advice on the info session?

I don't know about anyone else but the unit I come from feels very 2 faced about their support of me pursuing this goal of mine....so getting on here and seeing everyone being so kind and supportive it's truly amazing and a breath of fresh air! ❤️

All 7 questions were emotional intelligence. Thank you I sure hope so. I'm definitely trying to start school before the problems with student loans start.

I feel like the info session definitely mattered.. although they said its not graded, they were writing some stuff down.

if this was not truly graded then they must have pre determined who they were going to accept even before the info session 🤔

I feel like I wasnt able to really express myself because I didn't really feel comfortable sharing my personal story while everyone else was there😥

I felt like I totally bombed the kira assessment. The questions kinda caught me off gaurd so I winged it but I was invited to the info session

I guess we all had a different experience with the info session. Mine starting with the director asking if we had questions.. we all asked questions. Then one of the instructors asked us if it was the last spot what makes us stand out.. I feel like I answered that very well in under a minute and he wrote things down. Then the other two sessions were with students and they didn't really care LOL they were just talking about their experience and answering questions. The last part was when we were all together and I was able to ask a question but there was so many who didn't.. I felt great at the end. There was only one section where the instructor wrote things down. I did mine 11/18

I did mine on 11/18 too but I think we were in a different break out room based on the order you just mentioned above. I felt kinda ambivalent about the info session. It was informative and nice to talk to the director but like I said earlier I felt a little uncomfortable sharing my personal story in front of other students 😓 I guess I should just get over it.

im still waiting for the final verdict. But looks like someone already has received their acceptance letter so im not super hopeful 🥲

I totally get not being super comfortable with sharing your personal story in a large group setting....definitely not my thing either 😭 I swear my mind always goes blank whenever they ask if I have questions and "tell us about yourself" is sooo stressful to me.

I'm sure you did better than you think on the Kira!! Have you ever done one before?
