Members are discussing their experiences with being waitlisted and accepted into a nursing program, specifically focusing on the timing of notifications and the process of being waitlisted. Some members have received acceptance letters after being waitlisted, while others are still waiting for updates. There is also discussion about improving applications for reapplying and increasing science GPA for future applications.
Anyone applying to RFU's CRNA program for May 2025 start? Applications open today in NursingCAS. I don't see the application yet so I plan to check again later in the day.
I still think when people get yes somewhere they secure the seat no matter the cost, then in the off chance they get something close to home or higher on preferred list they decline the acceptance later on.
I do have a coworker who got off rfu waitlist like a month or so before class started, so it is definitely possible.
SpartanBSN said:Hey, for people in tonight's session. Any mention of how full the class is or how many spots are left?
I was in there. They didn't mention this specifically, only that they try to keep enough spots open so that they can actively send out admittance letters. They said that many applicants from tonight will get holds so that they can consider them in the future. Some will get denials, though.
One thing that I liked that they said was "If you made it to this information session, you're qualified to be admitted and you passed the real interview during your KIRA assessment."
So just a waiting game now.

is there an RFU portal that we long into after they receive our application? Or were you guys looking at NursingCas for all updates?
They do have a portal. They invite applicants to make a portal account when you are invited to the information session.

They charge $1000 to secure your seat.
