Hello! I recently submitted an application for the RN program at RSU. I was looking for advice from people who have gone here. What does the schedule normally look like? I plan on traveling from tulsa so just wanted to be prepared Also how hard is it to get into the program? I heard it's difficult.

Hi!

I am a current RSU nursing student. I will graduate May 2018. The schedule for first year students is currently clinicals Monday and Tuesday, lecture from 8-10 or 10-12 Wednesday and Thursday. Second year clinicals 12 hours Monday, lecture Wednesday afternoon 1-5, and exams Friday. They are planning on converting to a BSN only program, so I would apply in January. It will more than likely be the last ADN class.

It is extremely hard to get into the program. In my graduating class the lowest GPA accepted was 3.7. Grades are very important 🙂 RSU also only accepts 90 students every fall semester. Applications are due February 1st.

Thank you for that information. My GPA isn't that good so there goes that one.

Was that their overall GPA or GPA for just the 5 prerequisites? I too am waiting to hear if I will be accepted. I have 1 B and all other As for my prerequisites.

I'm thinking that is for the 5 classes.

I am applying for fall 2018, just checking if you guys applied and if it was hard to get in?
