Hello all...I've searched through and found that some of you have or are currently in the RODP program for FNP through Tennessee...can anyone update me on this? Do you like it? Would you recommend it/do it again? Im hoping to get my home school of MTSU...also for those of you that know..do you have to have some classes such as adv pharm and assessment done first? I can't get definitive answers through the website..Thanks so much!
Which school was your home school when you were doing rodp? I had a terrible experience applying to TSU, and was completely put off by their admissions office and msn advisor. I think I dodged a bullet there.
Several schools have dropped out of the rodp, if that says anything. MTSU now has a stand-alone online program, and I have had nothing but a good experience applying to their program for spring 2018 so far.
What is the tuition per credit hour at Walden? Part of the reason I am needing to go to a state school, or affordable online school, is $. MTSU tuition is 533 per credit hour for the graduate online classes.
Hmm, are you referring specifically to the MSN program or just online rodp in general? If you are going to medical school, why are you getting a MSN, if you don't mind my asking?
Can you articulate what you didn't like about rodp? What was your major? Who was your home school?
I ask because we all want feedback that helps us to make a better decision about each program.
What do you like specifically about Walden?
Are you in the US? Which state?
Msn fnp. Home school was Tennessee State. The program was unrealistically difficult. 84.5 is a C in Walden it is 70. Some of he clinic preceptors did not reach out to me or my preceptor. At walden the preceptor emails you with availability and works with you. The school said I could do clinical in Jersey only last minute to tell me that I had to come to Tennessee or change schools. I should have changed schools but did not.
My chosen medical school is a non traditional school that is the only way I could possibly do it. I love medicine and want more education in it.
That's too bad. I had a bad experience with Tennessee State University as well, but thankfully it was during the admissions process so I was able to run FAR far away. I've had nothing but a good experience so far with applying to MTSU (they now have a standalone program). However, I am in-state.
Hello GraceRn11- I found this post from 2013 while I am trying to find information about the ONLINE post msn fnp program at etsu. Can you tell me any information about the program.. I recently completed the WGU online MSN leadership program but they do not offer an FNP program/ Thank you for any insight you can share. Kelly
