Hey guys, i wanted to make a forum for the students accepted so we would have a way to communicate without blowing up everyone else's notifications and stuff with our questions. HAS ANYONE FILED FOR FAFSA OR LOOKED FOR HOUSING? BETTER yet, paid their deposits??????
Hello everyone!
I just want to start my comment off by saying CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE INTO THE JANUARY COHORT FOR THE APNN OF U OF R SCHOOL OF NURSING!! You should all be extremely proud of being accepted into such a prestigious program and should be equally excited to begin your journey on the road to becoming a new registered nurse.
Quickly, a little about me. My name is Gabriella Gante and I am a current student at the University of Rochester APNN program for the September 2019 cohort. I was like all of you a few months ago: wondering how I was going to pay for everything, where I was going to live, how I was going to get to school, etc. I have come to this page to offer you some information about student housing. I am a representative of a housing service that caters to students like yourself, offering you comfortable housing that is fully furnished and completely affordable. There are a range of housing styles located directly around and close to the School of Nursing. As a current renter from this housing service myself, I must say that I am beyond pleased with my housing situation. I am currently living in a house with three other girls in the accelerated program and am #blessed for how well it all turned out. PLEASE let me know if you are interested in housing, you can reach me at [email protected] for more information and I would be happy to steer you in the right direction to talk to the property manager and get you situated. Also if anyone could let me know if there is a facebook page I could gain access to, I would love to spread the word more.
AGAIN my email is [email protected]
I hope you will reach out to me regarding anything related to housing. I am coming from a place of experience (literally thought I was going to be homeless for the academic school year up until a few months ago) so I would love to help out. Looking forward to hearing from you all and congratulations again.
PS If you also want to email me with any questions regarding the program, please do! I just finished my third week of clinical and I am so extremely happy.

It let you register for class without having your health forms in? It wouldnt let me
And u have to include housing costs in the total amount of the loan you take out and then after the school takes the money it needs for tuition u ask them to refund you the remaining money into ur bank account and u use that for paying for housing

did you choose the variable rate or fixed rate? and did you estimate how much to apply for since we did not get the bill yet

I chose fixed, i don't really know how variable rates work and would rather have a steady rate but i might apply to more places and might apply to some variable. yea I estimated based on the tuition and fees on the bursars website and estimating how much my rent and cost of living will be but its really difficult without the bill. I keep reaching out to kendall the finanical advisor for help but shes not that informative which sucks

I'm planning on taking out 2 loans, one to cover spring and summer so jan-august and another for the fall so sep-december. So for this one I estimated using total cost of spring and summer semesters together. Its so annoying I wish we had the exact bill it would make life alot easier
