Rochester Uni ACCEPTED Students ABPNN Spring 2020

Published

Hey guys, i wanted to make a forum for the students accepted so we would have a way to communicate without blowing up everyone else's notifications and stuff with our questions. HAS ANYONE FILED FOR FAFSA OR LOOKED FOR HOUSING? BETTER yet, paid their deposits??????

I paid the deposit! And sent in my background check. Has anyone gotten their username IDs to get into that blackboard program yet?? So we can see all the health forms and whatnot

i plan on paying for my background check by the end of this week... these steps are driving me nuts. have u done your cpr thing yet

Hey everyone and congrats!!!!

I have also submitted my deposit, sent an email to the financial aid office, submitted my FAFSA and ordered my background check. I have not received a user ID for Blackboard yet. I am assuming that will take place in November. I already live in the area so I do not have any helpful advice in regards to student housing. There is an apt complex called the Mt. Hope Lofts which are located right next to the hospital, but they are more expensive. I do want to possible move closer to the hospital when my current apt lease is up in March, but I haven't really looked around much yet.

Does anyone know when does classes begin?? Has the financial aid counselor got back to you? Congrats everyone again can’t wait to be family

classes begin Monday, January 13th.....the day after my birthday haha!

you can get a good celebration in before the madness lol

Do any of y'all know someone who's completed the program because the closer it gets the more nervous I become lol

I do! I’m from Rochester and have two friends who have completed it. They’ve said the year is really intensive but doable if you’re not working and have a study routine. You’re essentially selling your soul to homework for a year but we can get through!

I'm from Rochester too! Okay, that's brings a little bit of relief. For sure we have no choice but to get through it together we all trying to succeed ?

yes! I know many people who have gone through it. Alot of my coworkers have as well and no one has said a single bad thing about it. As long at you put the time in, you will succeed ?

For sure!! I was nervous as I’m coming from a zero science and no medical experience background... I’m a teacher! But they said to find a good group of people and lean on each other which makes it easier!

Yup. Even if we cry all day haha. I’m looking to live off campus, I’m from the Bronx so if anyone else is looking let me know.
