Rochester Uni ACCEPTED Students ABPNN Spring 2020

Published

Hey guys, i wanted to make a forum for the students accepted so we would have a way to communicate without blowing up everyone else's notifications and stuff with our questions. HAS ANYONE FILED FOR FAFSA OR LOOKED FOR HOUSING? BETTER yet, paid their deposits??????

Yea ofc! i don't have any courses up on my blackboard besides the compliance one, medical terminology and the child safety one. When i went to student access and tried to find courses for registering it still had my hold for my health forms and etc so it wouldnt let me see those

Also, does anyone know if they give us like a tablet or something like that at the start of the program?

Do we have to complete the medical terminology course?

We will be given an iPad. It is part of our tuition. The cost is $165 per semester. There is an "opt out" option if you already have an iPad, but you just have to make sure it meets certain criteria. The iPad is ours to keep in the end.

Do we have to complete the stuff about the medical terminology? Also, I’m still working on my aid package. Then I’ll be figuring out my housing situation. I’m looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. ( to share with another person if it’s 2 bedroom obviously). Pls write if you guys have any info.

Thanks!!! And ok got you

That's what I was wondering because it says its self paced.

I’m gonna call them today and ask about the blackboard course.

Also do u guys plan on working while youre in the program?

I will be certified in microblading & ombré eyebrows for anyone interested so I will be taken customers & I also do hair & makeup. Hoping on that as a source of income but don’t plan on working. ( unless I can, but I hear it isn’t advisable )

I'm not working. I've heard its difficult to do both

Hey, I am also from the Bronx and I applied for the fall 2020 cohort that begins in May. I just had my phone interview today and my interviewer said that a car is necessary to be able to go to school and clinical. Are you planning on getting a car before going? I am worried becuase I don't think I am able to get one.

Has anyone received any information in regards to their financial aid?

I got the email access to the financial aid package last week
