Hi all. I am a soon-to-be nurse (graduating in May from MCC) Met w/ a nurse recruiter at Strong Memorial Hospital the other day.

Does anyone here work as a nurse at SMH? I am interested to hear about the environment there for nurses--scheduling etc. Also, is the pay that she quoted me (19.50 base but going up this next year) reasonable?

Also I'd like to know about the general climate for nurses there.

bumping this up to add that I am also looking into a few other hospitals in Rochester (RGH, Highland) and I'd love to hear from nurses working there about the environment and compensation there. I am very seriously considering perinatal nursing as a specialty. thanks! Please feel free to PM me.
