RN in US moving to Australia

I will be graduating with my BSN in December of 2012. I was wondering what all I needed to do to transfer my license from the US to Australia. I am planning to start the process as soon as I sit for the NCLEX and am granted a license. Also, what is the recommended visa for my situation? Does Australia require me to work for a certain period before transferring, or could I apply immediately?

This is kind of cool. If upon gradution, I am a nursing student, I decided I wanted to work in another country how would I go about doing that? Also, would I have to work in the United States for a year first?

Each country has their own nursing board so requirements will vary, some require 12 months or more work experience. Once you meet their requirements you then have to meet work/immigration requirements
