Hello, I am going to be attending UPMC Mercy Hospital's 16-month RN program here is Pittsburgh, PA. Once I complete the program and pass my NCLEX, I would really like to transfer to another state. Myrtle Beach, SC to be specific. Will South Carolina accept my transfer and will I be able to find work? I know some states don't even offer a diploma program, that is why I am asking.

You shouldn't have any problems. Many states no longer have diploma programs, but that doesn't mean they are not recognized for licensure by all 50 states.

Contac there BON. Or you could just go down there and take the NCLEX there. I earned my BSN in Virginia, but took the NCLEX in Nebraska.
I was just concerned because with there not being a lot of RN diploma programs anymore they require you to at least hold an associates degree if not a BSN. The diploma I am receiving is from a UPMC hospital and it is also a Level I trauma center, which we do all of our clinicals at this site. I am just hoping that I don't have to go back to school after these 16 months to receive an associates degree before I can move.
