RN To BSN :)

Nursing Students Excelsior

Published

Hi all!

I finished my ADN with EC (graduated November 2015) and immediately started work on my BSN (passed NCLEX fist try Jan 5). I registered as an unenrolled student for the Writing for the Professions course and the Stats for HCP course. As soon as my license posted to the BON, I called and enrolled (I was not an EC student for a grand total of a month and a half :p ).

My goal is to be done with the BSN program by the end of next summer's term (So August 2017). Anyone else on here that has recently started the RN to BSN at EC? Maybe we can take some courses together! I'm on the facebook groups but figured I would post here too :)

Specializes in EMT since 92, Paramedic since 97, RN and PHRN 2021.

I just started my FCCA's today. and based on the wait time for the CPNE you will probably be done your BSN before I get my RN, but my immediate plan after passing the NCLEX is to enroll in the RN to MSN at Excelsior. You will probably be far ahead of me when I am done my ADN, but if you are still trucking away I am more then interested in studying!!!

Specializes in Emergency Department, ICU.

I plan on switching to the RN to MSN track in August when the new catalog goes into effect; I have been taking classes with that aim since enrolling in January :) So when you're done I hope I will be done with the BSN portion and working on the MSN but I am happy to help others on their journey! :)

Very true. All my distinguished grades from Capella were converted to "As". I did this when I had to fill in course completion forms for tuition reimbursement with my job and I did get reimbursed.

Distinguished = A

Proficient = B

Basic = C

Non-performance is I believe a D/Fail
