Hi has anyone applied to this program? Their application asked a lot of questions about prayer with patients and prayer before meetings. They also ask if you've ever worked for a seventh-day adventist hospital before. My main concern is that they won't hire me because I am not a seventh day adventist or particularly religious.

Anyways, I didn't see this a thread for this program so I thought I'd go ahead and start one.

I just got an email from one of the recruiters (this may be an exception so don't take it as fact!), saying that I could send recommendation letters that aren't personalized. I just have to send more of them, which is fine! :-)

What do you meant "send more of them?" I got in contact with ------- and she said that it was fine to mail all of them myself together

I said that I had two clinical instructor and two supervisor recommendations available to send. She said to send all four since they weren't personalized. Just repeating what she said! I met with---------,, the other RN recruiter a month or so ago and she has my portfolio with all 10 letters. Don't know why they need them again! Lol. :-)

I grew up in Novato, about 20 minutes south of the hospital. I just finished school in LA.

I visit regularly and requested an informational interview a month or so ago. She's really nice! I got a tour of the hospital as well - small but gorgeous.

I'll be flying up to come to the open house at 10:30. Come up and say hello if you'll be there! I'll be the small redhead in the black and white sweater.

Yeah they seem nice! I'll be going too but at 8:30am, I'm coming from Sacramento so it'll be a 3hrs drive and the people coming with me are complaining why I chose so early haha beat the traffic! Hopefully... But I'll try to keep an eye out for you

From the original email sent out did you take it that the references had to be mailed via postal mail from the original source? The last email I received it was mentioned that they were expecting letters to be mailed/emailed/faxed. I don't remember receiving any email or fax numbers for my sources to send to UVMC. Did any of you see that it could be emailed to them? Any of you have that contact info?

Soooo, what did everyone think of the open house event? I went to the 8:30am one. It seemed like there was about 50 people in the morning event. So if it's the same for each, that means about 150 people came all together, but better than having all 250 who applied come! Anyways, a little nervous about hearing back this week. I am kind of glad they're moving everything so fast!

I went to the 8:30am as well. That's a pretty quick turnaround for everything!
