RN Nclex ineligible

Published

So I graduated from Philippines. Applied for RN Nclex but denied. So i went to a college to be evaluated what subjects that i need to take to complete my BSN. They said they need someone from BON to send me a letter or email stating what subjects to enrol. For the 20th time i called BON and requested the info and said hey will call me but they never did. I also requested he last letter i received from them which is the eligibility letter because i lost the letter. thinking of going sacramento just to get evaluated. anyone here has the same problem?

What does it say on your letter of denial? That they deny u of the whole program or just wanted u to take subjects? To be eligible for nclex rn?

it says there that i need to retake the clinicals here in us. but the school needs a list of subjects from bon stating specifically what subjects i need to take.

Your clinical and theory coursework did not meet CABRN legal concurrency standards. There are a few slots in private schools with long waitlists of IEN for acceptance and high tuition fees.

There are dozens of threads in the nurse registration forums of internationally educated nurses in the same boat as you. The deficiencies are in obstetrics/maternity, pediatrics, psychiatric/mental health, and/or medical surgery (one area or any combination). If any of your cases (cord care, delivery, surgical, etc) were a single day outside of your theory course dates you are out of compliance.

The initial letter should have specified any and all areas of deficiency and whether they can be retaken or if you must retake a comprehensive nursing program. You need to contact the staff that evaluates the credentials of IENs. If it's been three years since your evaluation then your file has been destroyed

hi

thanks for the info. i just called today and was told that i need to take the full nursing program and the school will do the evaluation whether what subjects can be credited. since now im an lvn already um guessing its only the remaining 2 out of years of the full nsg prgm that i need to take. or do i need to take everything back to zero?

You need to consult with the school of nursing there are extremely few LVN to BSN programs, but it may be 3+ years of study depending on what is credited. There is no simple answer. You need to contact the nursing school admissions departments directly
