U.S.A. Georgia

Hello! My name is Delana. I am relocating to the Augusta, GA area this July. My husband is active duty Army and will be stationed at Fort Gordon. I am a RN and have been doing Hospice Nursing since October 2008 and that is my only nursing experience. I would love to get into a hospital/acute care setting. Any information on who might be hiring in the area would be greatly appreciated.

Warmest regards, Delana

Thanks for the info. I check MCGs site and see plenty of RN jobs under staff nurses..but they do not state how many years is required of experience. I wonder if new grads are eligible for these positions?

Anyone? they are positions for staff nurses on mcg website and Trinity in areas like nicu and l&d that DO NOT say you need experience...but will the consider a new grad?

Anyone know the payrates? i was told doctors hospital was only 17/hr?? i hope that not right! What about university or mcg?

Specializes in ICU, ER, Hemodialysis.

I'd say you should at least get 20-22/hr no matter where you go. MCG, I hear, is the highest paid. Actually, Select Specialty Hospital is the highest paid, but I would not work there. I do know people that do though.
