A friend of mine was asking ihow she could become an lpn instead of an Rn after having failed the nclex several times in a row. She was an international nursing graduate (like myself) and would like to work in a hospital in a nursing capacity instead of being a tech. Any info on how to go about this and any views from yea helpful folks out there? thank you:D

Check the state board if they offer the application for LPN after you failed several Nclex-Rn exam. We just have this new rule recently in Texas. And You also need to go to your school to ask nursing director to write a form to prove what nursing courses you already finished. BUT I encourage your friend to take the RN exam again. Take Kaplan international nurse course. It :wink2:help the exam! Good luck!!!!! Copy%20of%20wink.gif

I agree with Nolonger. Keep trying for the RN if she can. If not, i know that you can apply for LPN in certain states you just have to do a little research.

Tell your friend not to give up! Good luck...
