RN looking to do Case Management

Published

I am an RN-BSN interested in Case Management. I have been an RN for 6 years and have experience in Telemetry, Long Term Acute and Critical Care. I hear a lot about Humana, in fact I applied there for a case management position yesterday, but are there other insurance companies that hire RN's to do this? I live in FL in the Tampa Bay area so any advice is helpful.

None of the companies you listed above hired me. Maybe I just got extremely lucky with 0 years of experience , but I worked my butt really hard during my undergrad to make sure I learn everything I needed to be succesful at landing a job post grad. I was not informed of any CCM exams maybe it's different with each country.

Specializes in Utilization Review, OB GYN, NICU.

Yes, it may be different in Canada. In the US it is almost impossible for a new grad to get into case management. And you have to have at least two years experience in CM before taking the certification exam.
