RN Licensure by Endorsement (Foreign grad)

Published

Hi, I just want to ask if there any foreign grads here who had endorsed their license from another state to NJ. Did they require you to do the CES Report? I am a foreign grad, currently licensed here in VA. I'm just confused regarding the CES Report requirement because it was not indicated in the application packet for licensure by endorsement that it is needed. Can someone shed some light regarding this matter. Thanks in advance and help would be much appreciated.

NJ BON link: RN/LPN Endorsement Application Packet CES is not required again as you you have a current license in VA.. Fingerprint is required here. Be aware that NJ is backed up with application processing per our members reports, so may take 2-3 months once application completed.

Thank you so much NRSKarenRN. I think I saw some of your posts way back 2011 regarding this matter. I was back reading some post regarding licensure by endorsement and I can't find any answer for this. Anyway thank you so much for the help.

I've been moderating this forum for 10 years now. the FAQ link at main NJ section has links to BON info.

There is a surplus of new grads up North NJ esp around NY City and in major cities. Cooper hospital in Camden hired one of my staff a new RN grad for part time and she likes it there. Southern NJ/shore facilities may offer opportunities.

Wishing you a smooth transfer process.

Thank you so much for all the help. I know that this would take some time, but I know the wait will be worth it. Thanks again!

Hi again, NRSKarenRN. I just want to ask if the NJ BON requires nursing experience for the endorsement? I received a letter from them saying that my application was incomplete because I was not able to fill out the nursing work experience section. Well, it says there to leave the section blank if you don't have any experience so that's what I did. I thought to myself why would they ask me to fill it out since I left it blank to indicate I don't have any nursing work experience. I am a 2010 BSN grad, do you think that will affect my application for license? TIA! Sorry for the OT.
