RN License renewal in CA

Published

Hey guys. A quick question. I got my RN license in 2019 and have to renew it by Oct 31st 2020. I have gone ahead and done that. I don't have to do fingerprints again right? I did it the first time. Also in breeze.ca.gov I don't see a notification saying that I have to. Furthermore, when I check my license in CA it says that it has been renewed till 2022. So I'm assuming I don't have to get fingerprints done again?

Thank you so much for your help.

If you needed fingerprints again they would not have renewed your license. I had to give the livescan as mine were the old type (on paper) and per BON it was only due once, for each DOJ and FBI. Sounds like you are good to go.

Sounds like you're good. I had a similar issue. Their fingerprint requirement update wording was very awkward, and I couldn't figure out if it was something I needed or not. I went forward with my submission, got a new expatriation date, and that was that.
