I second what Hannahbanana said. Phlebotomy is within the RN scope of practice so there is no need for a separate phlebotomy license. Save your hard earned money and let it lapse. Unless...The only situation I can see it possibly being a little useful is if you are planning to apply to positions where your phlebotomy license on top of your RN license would be an asset that might give you a leg up on the competition.

I am currently an Associate Degree RN will be pursing a BSN. My phlebotomy license is due but I do not use it. Is it worth renewing? Does having a phlebotomy license look good on a resume?
