I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.
I took the the test in February, and honestly speaking..the science portion was the easiest part. I scored a 132 on the test, and I completed the science faster than any section. The only thing that I saw was anatomy and chemistry, and 1 or 2 questions about physics pertaining to kinetic energy and potential.
I agree with you. The Science part was the easiest for me because you know it or not, and click. Time is the key. I'm good in Math (I didn't studied it at all), but I struggled with time to finish. Reading is not hard, but you need time to read and be able to answer. For me, the hardest part was Vocabulary, maybe because English is not my mother tongue. The test itself is not that hard, the problem is to be able to do it within the time given.
Yes sperkyperky... we do know each other. Hey gurllll! Just study the book. go to freerice.com and study the words but start at a more difficult level. (like 12 or something) There was a lot of physics. Its a time game, practice taking the exam and timing yourself. specially the math portion. Good Luck!
Thank you all for all of the advice. Your good deeds in trying to help me will not go unnoticed. I believe in karma, and when you are kind to others, good things come your way!!! I am just wondering if I need to memorize all of the anatomy diagrams. I know it is all review for us, as we were required to know this for A&P. I guess I will do as jucris88 suggests and try to study and retain it all. I remember reading about an eye diagram and a heart diagram on the exam for many people. So I was just curious if anyone else remembered specific questions/diagrams.
Shell83, I thought it was you! I may need to call you, if you don't mind, as I get closer to taking the exam. For now, I am just studying the book and taking the practice tests.
I know I am behind you all, but I still support you guys, and I will be waiting to hear the good news when you get into the program. Keep the faith and trust in things that are meant to be. I will have to take my own advice in a few months when I am in your shoes. :)
Thank you jucris88 for taking the time to give me details. This exam is stressful for many of us. However, I know that it is really a piece of cake in comparison to what Nursing school will be like. Regardless, it is all overwhelming.I feel we all have to take a bite at a time and find a way to chew it. I am excited for you and all of the opportunities you have ahead of you.
Well guys and girls, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I just got accepted into fiu bsn programs...yeaaaaah....which also means I'm no longer competing for a seat at mdc, so a lucky person here will get my seat... The bad news is that I won't be able to meet all you angels who helped me through these rough days. I hope all of you the best of luck and may all your dreams come true and goodbye.

Mostly, you will have to apply your knowledge to answer the questions. I don't recall there being any define X questions. Aside from that there will be some chart/graph interpretation questions. Some of them (especially physics) will give you values and you will have to know how to plug them into an equation in order to solve the problem.
