RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

Published

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

WOW! I had no idea a thread like this existed. I have literally just spent the last 2 hours reading all of the craziness that has been going on these last couple months. it is amazing to see that there are people out there feeling just like me and you were all going through the same things i was feeling! i am so happy for all of you and your passing scores. I also got a passing score and I've been living in fear and nerves everyday since i took the test (even though i thought after the test id feel better, yeah right!) i check my email twice daily or every chance i get. I'm obsessed and i thought i was going crazy! great to see I'm not alone! i Hope we all get in!!!!!! i will be checking this thread more often to help soothe my mind. We have all come a long way and we should be proud of ourselves! i don't even know you all and i can truly say I'm proud and congrats to you all. thanks for all these post that have kept me alive the past couple of hours and that will hopefully keep my sane these next couple of weeks!

Nicole what did you score on your test

Does anyone knows how to calculate the points ? I know it's 60% test score and 40% gpa. They said the computer will calculate I was just wondering how is it calculated so we have an idea

No idea.. i know how they did it with the teas but like this test is totally different.. no clue

Sorry for the late reply, I did very well thanks. I passed and I applied to the full time Generic program

Hey Lisel. I didn't do as great as I hoped. I got a 116.. At least I passed.

But now that you guys are saying that a lot of people applied and it's very competitive I'm getting really nervous

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Hi everyone!!! To calculate %, multiply th nln score by 0.60, it means in my case that I got 78%, multiply 78 by 0.60 and that will be 46.8 and then with the gpa just move the point one place to the right, so 3.72 will be 37.2. Add the gpa and the nln and that will be your total. 37.2+ 46.8= 84. Good luck to everyone. too nervous about the waiting time OMG

Yeahh but you calculate the % on nln if you dont get the score in %....

Nicole don't worry a lot of people apply but a lot of

Them didn't pass the test as far as we know i got 117 so we are on the same boat

Someone posted here the table with the points and the percentages, so look for it cause its very easy to find it in that table

Btw I did not pass the test and I got 117, so I still have some hope
