Hi, I know there are a million threads on RN to MSN/FNP routes, but I can't find the answer to my question. I've found various schools that offer the ADNto MSN or FNP. A couple of ones I'm interested in offer 3 or 4 focuses, like education, informatics, or leadership. If they don't offer a direct FNP focus, do I need to transfer to a different program after obtaining the MSN, or just pick a different school altogether? I hate to waste momey
and time on classes specific to an aspect of nursing that I have no plans to pursue and could be taking NP-specific courses. Thanks!

If you your end goal is to be an FNP then best to find a program that offers ADN to MSN FNP... however, if you do chose one of the other MSN routes that you mention, after completion of your MSN degree then you could look for a school that offers a post Masters certificate for FNP...
You may also consider completing your ADN-BSN and that would open other doors for you to find your FNP education.
Best of luck.
