Hello,
Is anyone in or know about information about the RN to BSN program at WSU? I'm hopefully going to attend in August but I'm waiting for the official okay from the school. I do not have any information about what classes I need to take or when I will be taking the classes. I decided to go part time because I'm working full time as a nurse. Does anyone know how often you go to school when you are part time? It looks like one day a week but I want to be sure. Also do you know what day you go to school? We are scheduling for August/September at work and I need to tell them the days I can't work.
Thank you in advance,
Jill

Hi there,
Check out there website at: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/programs/nurs/rnbsn.html. If you click on the link for RN to BSN admission criteria, it will pull up a PDF file with all of the classes you'll need. I had contacted the school of nursing there a few months back and it seemed that most of these classes would also be offered online, so you could either finish it in one year with full-time enrollment or two years if enrolled on a part-time basis. Good luck!

Yeah, apparently you can do it all online (with the exception of clinicals, which you can arrange near you).
I don't have any special info to add. I'm just planning on doing the online option after I finish my LPN to RN program.

Hi Jill,
I know this post is old, but I thought I would try to reach out anyway. I am currently debating between two really good options for nursing school this fall. I could go through OHSU's 3-year program on their Portland campus, or I could do a two-year associate's at Clark and then do my BSN either with the direct bridge at WSU-Vancouver or at OHSU.
I think I read in one of your other posts that you weighed the cost of getting your ADN then BSN vs. the expensive route at Linfield. That's kind of where I am at with my two options. For less than half the price of 3 years at OHSU I can go to Clark and WSU.
Did you end up doing your BSN at WSU? What did you think of the program? Was it mostly online for you? Did you find it feasible to work while completing it? If I go that route I hope to complete it in one year and work as a RN if I am able to find a decent job. Not sure if that is wise, but it makes sense.
Any feedback would be most helpful. Thanks in advance for your time.
