Has anyone taken or currently taking the RN to BSN online program at Umass Boston? And if so how has it been? I am very interested in this program, as I will be able to transfer a lot of credits from my previous ADN program.
I am intrested in how many hours a week you spend doing class work? How would you rate the level of difficulty?
I am also a little worried with my time management w/ work and school. Feedback from anyone currently enrolled, or any tips would be greatly appreciated. THANKS
I have a nutrition class from my ADN program that transfers, planning to take statistics before I am actually enrolled in the program, and thinking about taking the NLN for Pharm. And have other pre reqs from my ADN that fufill the Umass electives required for graduation.

I too am interested in the program but haven't done too much research other than reading their web site. I will need to take the challenge exams and take stats this summer. I'll do that at a local community college to save $$.
One of the RNs I work with is in the program and she says there is alot of writting and research but everything is done virtually. You have a virtual classroom, raise you hand virtually, answer questions, etc.
It sounded like you would just need to coordinate your schedule in order to be able to meet at the online class times. :typing

There is an RN-BSN online program offered at UMass Amherst also. Very similar however.

I am finishing the program in Boston. I chose it because they require a lot less non-nursing credits than Amherst (for some odd reason!). It's a good program, I spend about 10 hours a week on work, if that. The professors are great. It is a bit pricey, I think. 300 bucks/credit plus fees.
I find it really easy, but not everyone does.
And by the way, there are no class times to meet.. you can work on your work morning, noon, or night. And I do a lot of work at odd hours of the night because it fits my schedule. That's what the program is all about - being able to do the work whenever you feel like. There are 2 different semesters when you have to come to campus for a day for presentations, but it's fun and you get to put a face to names you see throughout classes.
