Hello, has anyone here found an online RN to BSN program that offers in-state tuition rates for Colorado residents? As far as I can tell, most schools charge a different tuition rate for online classes than for an in-person program.

Thank you!

Crystal

I am researching through the online RN to BSN in Colorado and glad to share my findings! Colorado Mesa University, University of Mountain Colorado, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado - Colorado Spring/Denver has in-state tuition rate!

Thank you, amoxycilli! I appreciate the information!

Seriously? This stuff is so easy to find. The community colleges (Front Range, Arapahoe, etc.) are the cheapest option of online RN - BSN programs.

While I appreciate your attempt at being helpful, you are incorrect. A community college is generally the cheapest option for an RN program and maybe even an in-person RN-BSN program with in-state tuition rates, but online RN-BSN programs have a different tuition structure. Not all CO schools offer in-state tuition for online programs. Most but not all have the same cost per credit hour for in-state and out-of-state students, thus my question. I think that you'll find that the two schools you referenced charge the same amount per credit hour for in-state and out-of-state students. I am paying less for the online RN-BSN program I recently enrolled in than I would for the program at either of those two community colleges.

My assumption was that the OP was a Colorado resident. Why else would someone limit limit their search to Colorado if they don’t live in that state?

Colorado residents get an extra $88/per credit hour at all Colorado colleges and universities. It’s the College Opportunity Fund. It

The schools that actually have a building that are eligible for the COF are cheaper when that discount is factored into the cost.

Anyways, I do not feel like arguing or getting any more into this topic. Best of luck to your search for a school.
