RN to BSN with clinicals?

Published

Hi All,

I graduated with an associate's degree in June 2010 and have been working on an online RN to BSN program that does not include much clinicals. I think its about 45 hours in a community setting and thats it.. I understand that most nurses who do the RN to BSN program usually have a job and do not need clinicals, but I haven't found a job yet so I would like to find a program that actually has clinical time so I can become marketable again! If anyone has any advice or suggestions on schools, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I also graduated in spring 2010 and am presently finishing up an on-line RN-BSN program. None of the programs I looked at had any real clinical requirements - the feeling is that that you've already completed this part of your nursing education in your ADN program. One alternative would be an RN refresher course like this one:

Eastern University RN Refresher Program | Department of Nursing Programs | Pennsylvania Christian University
