Nursing Students Online Learning

I am looking at doing the online RN-BSN at Chamberlain college. IS it a good program? Has anyone done their program and how difficult is it? How soon can one feasibly finish it? etc etc. anyone who has every done this program or can recommend other RN-BSN programs online that are excellent and cheap and fast to complete please enlighten a fellow nurse. Thanks in advance.

Chamberlain just opened a campus in Jacksonville, Fl and they are offering only the BSN no options available here currently for RN's. The BSN program is $50k and is 3 years long. I don't know of anyone that has completed their program but they are basically the same, you are only completing courses to satisfy the degree requirement for your bachelors'. Most programs offered for nurses wanting to get their BSN is completely online and most a pretty expensive. I hope this helps and good luck!

Chamberlain is pricey, there is no doubt. However, I'm really enjoying my experience with the RN-BSN program. I did a pretty exhaustive search and ended up applying to three schools, and I chose Chamberlain in the end. (Although University of Wisconsin-Green Bay was a very close second.) I'm happy with my choice.

Another thread you might want to read, and yes, it's PAGES long but worth it: https://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/rn-bsn-online-105380.html

You might also check your state/local universities and see what they have, too. Many are doing online RN-BSN programs these days, and your in-state tuition may be very reasonable.

Good luck!! :)

Hi,

I'm in the Chamberlain RN-BSN program right now. I'm going full-time and will done in 8 months total. I'm really pushing hard though. The classes are not -really- hard, they are just time consuming. I should note I didn't find the program of ADN to RN hard either, just time consuming. The semesters are broken up into two 8 week sessions, I'm taking 3 classes right now and 2 the second 8 week session, I wish I could sneak in another one but it is a financial issue for me. I will be done next April, I started this past July.I really like the program, you get a chance to facilitate your own education. I find it empowering. Good luck in whatever choice you make!

I am pretty sure that after a long look into an online RN-BSN program that I have found what I need in Chamberlain. It helps that everyone on here says they are really liking their experience. I really love the no pre-reqs and fast completion.I do have 2 concerns 1 about the price I hate to think that the classes are 1700-2400. Just wondering if anyone has used Chamberlain payment plan and how that's working out for you. Also how is it taking the math and statistics online? I'm a bit nervous of starting the whole school thing up again I'm an EC grad and it sounds like Chamberlain is completely different. Is it really not that bad? I'll be maintaining a full time sched. Plus a 1st grader.

Thanks for any input.
