This semester I will be finishing all the classes that I will need to graduate from the FSCJ nursing program: the prereqs as well as the other classes that you don't need to apply like English and Sociology and a few other ones. I'm sure most people who apply have taken all their classes as well because it would be nearly impossible to have enough points without having taken most of them. So the application is due in October to start in the Spring.... so I am left wondering what classes to take for the Fall semester. I thought that maybe I could start taking my classes for my BA if I decide to get one in the future, so I looked up the RN-BSN bridge program at UNF and it seems the only classes you need for that are the same prereqs for the RN nursing program at FSCJ. I thought for your BSN you had to take a languange, and statistics and a few other ones; that way I can take them now since I am unemployed and have the financial aid. Can someone please clarify this for me?
Anyone know of any other accredited RN-BSN bridge programs in Jax besides UNF? (I heard FSCJ lost their accreditation.)
How would it affect my financial aid grants if I just took the semester off?

Call this number to check FSCJ's accreditation, (904) 713-6015. I am pretty sure they are as one of our house supervisors just graduated from there and one of my friends is in their program right now and can sit for her CCN.
JU requires a language, statistics, and a chemistry with a lab. ( FSCJ just requires a chemistry). I am not sure about UNF, but I am sure the pre-reqs are the same.
If you take a semester off, you just loose the money you would have spent in the fall, as far as federal aid. For any other scholarships, most just carry over.
