RN in BC

Published

Hi..

I am internationally educated nurse from Korea..

Yes I have read the post up there that you must search the board before you post..( I did and I could not find what I want, yet..^^)

I am so confused by this whole BSN thing..

I graduated from Korea three year college(diploma) and I worked as RN in Korea and States(I also have a RN licence in States)....

I know that I need 4-year degree to become a RN in Ontario..

But, someone told me that If I go BC than I will be fine with 3-year diploma to be a RN..

Is that true???

or I need to take bridging courses in BC, too..

Please, it is very confusing.......:banghead:

Please, help me out.~~~

Thanks..

p.s. If there is a same question as mine... I am sorry... blame my poor searching ability....:typing

There is no way to predict until you submit your application to the college and they assess your transcripts.

mlbsport,

Why don't u get their number and try calling them? usually on the list of requirements they would state whether the application must have a bachelor degree or four-year nursing degree, if it's not there then it is probably not a requirement. Also make sure you look at info specific to internationally educated nurses. If you are in the US then it's quite easy to call canada or buy a calling card... that will probably resolve ur doubts as for now.
