RN with BA becoming a NP

Hello. I am interested in becoming a NP or CRNA. I recieved my BA 1 yr and a half ago and now have one more semester until I will be done with my ADN program. I was wondering if anyone knows of any programs or avenues of becoming an NP or CRNA by combining my RN and BA? I would really appreciate any information on this. Thanks :)

You have to do a bridge RN to BSN program & then get your Masters degree before you can even thing about becoming an NP.

There are many MSN/NP programs out there that enable you to use your RN and BA to get a higher degree. Many of them don't even necessarily require you to get your BSN first. Where do you live? I know, in Boston for instance, most of the larger schools just require a few prereqs (stats and chem for example) before you take 3-5 "bridge" courses prior to enrolling in the Masters level courses. Generally, at the end of the masters program you can sit for the NP exam.

It's quite common for us "Bachelors-in-another-field RN's" to earn a masters and some can do it in as little as 1 and a half years full time. I'm applying to grad schools now. :)

As far as the CRNA's are concerned, that's a whole other issue. MUCH more schooling (7 years I think) and they may require some work experience first. This link might help: http://www.aana.com/BecomingCRNA.aspx?id=98
