This is something that should be discussed with your state board of nursing, not strangers on an Internet message board. It is all too easy for people with a few bucks and a little bit of detective skill to find out your identity and location; to protect your privacy, we must ask that you NOT share this sort of information here.

hello,
i need some support, and if anyone was in similar situation could you please share your experience?
i am in california.
i have been arrested for shoplifting, and charged with misdemeanor about 3,5 years ago. i went to the court, plead "not guilty", entered pre-trial diversion program for first time offenders (you dont need to plea guilty to be eligible for this diversion program). took one day class+40 hrs volunteer work, and then the case was dismissed and charges dropped. i was never convicted (thank god!).
anyways, right now i am studying towards my goal of becoming a rn. and i have a question, will that be possible for me take rn nclex exam?
i know that ca bon looks at each case individually, and i am not asking for a legal advise.
i am just curious, are there any nurses who were in similar situation and were able to obtain their rn licenses and actually got hired at the hospitals?
please, share your experiences, or if you've heard from others about similar experiences.
everyone, i am not seeking a legal advise, and i already visited california bon and read their policy on criminal history
i just want to see of others were in similar situation and were able to succeed with their nursing careers.
thank you in advance!
