Hi there! Anybody here who has worked for RMC?

I have a pending application for their IVT training but sadly, even the nurses at the Nursing Director's Office do not know when will the next IVT class be. They just asked me to sign-up in a logbook and then regularly check with them for the schedule of the next class. It's been 3 weeks since I went there and the reason I want to take my IVT training with them is because first, I live 10 minutes away from the hospital and second, I was told by one of the nurses in RMC that once you're done with the IVT training, you'll be hired as a volunteer nurse as well. It will run for 6 months and then you'll be assessed if the institution could hire you as one of their employees.

Can someone verify this? I might visit RMC this afternoon to check the schedule.

Any input will be highly appreciated. :)

@angelkatkat, nope, I just copied the information on there bulletin board. I went there to see what are the requirements for NTP..

Good Luck!

hey, so the training is it for hiring for staff nurse or just training or volunteer?thank you so much.are they still hiring for this month?

This may be a heart breaker to many of us who applied to Project RMC (Registered Nurses Moving Towards Core Competencies, something like that). Just please let me tell you of this story and this is not some hearsay because I experienced this myself. :igtsyt:

I applied to RMC with a friend on July 15. They accepted our resume and other documents that they required. My friend got called in (through landline) for an exam and interview on August 25. I was a bit surprised for I was expecting that I will be called in too, however, our phone and DSL is out of order (stupid Globelines :flmngmd: ). I went to RMC twice before the exam date to check if I may be included in their list and that they may had not been able to contact me because of the faulty telephone. I talked to a nurse manager stationed at the pay ward for OB patients who is assigned for this task but she said that she doesn't have the list at that moment, that she will have to check it a bit later, maybe after her shift and get in touch with me even through text. RMC usually just get 20-23 RNs for training/volunteer. She also said that once an applicant is called in for an exam and interview, "tuluy-tuloy na yun." Come August 25, my friend went there. He took the exam in the morning then an interview in the afternoon. He was informed that their duty will start on September 5. He said the exam wasn't even checked and proceeded with the panel interview right away. Hopeless and sad as I was for being left behind, I called the Nursing office to tell me what the hell is happening. Same nurse manager told me that my friend asked about my situation too and now here's the catch: she said that those RNs who she interviewed will not start on Sept. 5 but some time in October and that I WILL BE INCLUDED IN THIS BATCH. I asked her when will be my exam and interview, she said I will just be called or texted for the schedule. Honestly, I don't know who or what to believe in anymore. My friend and I argued several times regarding this for he deemed that I am being too pessimistic and that I don't want to be with him during our training, because of that he's planning to ditch this hospital anyway. I always tell him that I want to be with him at the training, it's just that I feel that I was rejected (while he was accepted) but that nurse manager can't say it to my face and all I have to do is to rely on "context clues". I did not try calling RMC for fear of humiliating myself again. I will just wait for that call the nurse manager mentioned, if it will still come. I do have other options though, I just want to give you a heads-up, especially those who are like me, maybe waiting in vain.:twocents:

the bottom line!!! -- never ever expect too much, so you wouldn't end up so dissapointed-- :D

i just have the same situation like yours, btw...:D.... i end up being so dissapointed!!! good thing i already move on!!!:D

i passed my application last month and the lady there told me that to wait for their call till the end of aug.

so i do what she said hoping that they will call me. i waited for days, weeks until the last month of aug. came and No call or text from them... grrrr...

so i decided to call someone i meet at RMC who is also an applicant and just passed her requirements the same day as mine.... --good thing i got her number--. so i ask her if RMC already call her up... to my surprise she said she already had an exam 3 days ago !!!...-- im so really ****** off when i heard that-- :D i waited for so long hoping that they will call me... so much waste of time then....grrrrrrr.....:D

i wonder why they didn't call me:idea:. are they choosing there applicants? what are they basis from choosing them?....

so the following day i go there, but i didn't open up to the unit manager why the other applicant been called and why i'm not for fact that we just passed the requirements just the same day... so i just follow up my application instead, to be sound polite. --i dont want to be sound like questioning there lousy hiring process-- then she told me again to wait for there call this september....grrrrrr..... what the....:eek::eek::eek::eek:

so that's it, i had enough of there false hoping words....:mad::mad:

kinda unfair but that's life!!! always better to have back up plans if ever your expectation -plan- didn't align into reality!!!...........;)

Well I guess the project RMC has already started because the lady who answered the phone said that they still have nurses who is in training.....wait for the next batch......

wheew

@ angelkatkat

I don't know what exactly their parameters are in hiring/screening trainees. All I know is that I'm in a "place" where I can't decide if I will still call or even go there for follow-up (since I am only just a jeepney ride away) or should I just leave it all up to God, if He wills it.

@ Nurse_Ian

Same friend told me the September 5 program will start on October 4 DAW.

Same here I'm still waiting for their call, but I'll follow up my application tomorrow via phone..

@sugarplum--- I guess we are in the same are coz i am also a 1 jeepney away from RMC.... I am sad of what happened to all of us... They don't screen all there applicants well...

I am not sure if they screen well there applicants for project RMC.......

All applicants must be given a chance to prove that they deserve to be volunteer.

Credentials and trainings must be evaluated well...

hmmm i will call them again tomorrow for more info ...

Sorry my fellow nurses but the Project RMC has selected there trainees already...

Batch 7 project RMC is now in PMC and they have started already according to the lady in NSO

I said i pass my application last august but i havent receive any calls

She replied " you just have to wait for the txt or call of MS. ******( secretary of chief Nurse)

I ask " does it mean i have to wait for the next batch ? (That's on March probably)

She replied "yes,"

well that's life again..........

That's Philippines :(

I went there yesterday, September 16 2010 to follow up on the status of my application. First, I talked to the nurse manager who is stationed at the front table inside the nursing service office. I told her I am following up on the status of my application. She asked if haven't I received any call because they already have RNs who will be having their orientation on October 4, 2010. I reiterated to her how our landline got messed up the same time they are calling applicants, so I am still kinda hoping things will change. I also mentioned that I have talked to another nurse manager (who is said to be in-charge of calling qualified RNs for Project RMC) and she claimed that I will be included in this batch (batch 7). Good thing, this other nurse manager is also inside the office. I walked to where she is seated and asked her the same thing. I really tried to make her see that I really needed to be included, pointing out too that I only have two weeks away and the batch will start on October. I added too that I am waiting for my exam date and interview. She answered that I will be included in this coming batch, if not, for batch 8 next year. I don't have to worry for the exam and interview because she will just call me for that. No matter how short the days or weeks are before the program starts, if the RN is keen on follow up and really interested to join the program (like me I guess:nurse:), she will definitely include him/her. She also gave me this "alibi" that NSO is still unsure if Project RMC will push through this year, it has been moved to October due to "overlapping" training schedules and that they are waiting for the approval/go signal from the chief nurse for this, meaning that this orientation on October 4 is still tentative. Seeing that my effort has gone to waste, I asked if I may have to pass my requirements again for next year's batch, she replied I didn't have to. :twocents:

Thank you sugarplum for the update

well different people inside the NSO of RMC has different reasons why they havent called us.

But one thing is for sure they have already selected their trainees.

and I hope that they will consider our papers next year
