Just submitted my application for fall 2014 at RCC!! Waiting on receipt confirmation!
I haven't graduated from a program yet but don't let anyone discourage your path. IMO Many ADN"s later go back to obtain their BSN. I think it's a personal choice. We all take different paths in life but ultimately we eventually get to the same place. RCC has a really good reputation and I have a friend that had a BSN and she couldn't find a job and moved to Texas. She is also paying a lot of money for her education because she didn't go to a traditional school. Make the best decision for you and your family. People always have an opinion. Good luck to you.
Ahhh man I emailed rcc and was told that we get our teas results back may 9......2 days after I take mine ... I'm bummed about that...I don't get why they won't just let us know how we did right after the test
What?! Noooo waaay that sucks
Thats torture!! Lol it's going to drive me crazy

Me too ... I get different answers though ... the nursing advisor told my friend you get them right after the test but today I was told we get the results may 9th ... I'm gonna have a heart attack if I have to wait ... I don't get the logic behind making us wait because if we took it somewhere else we would get the results right away:down:
On another note, I also emailed her because I wanted to know my total points and she said you can make an appt with her anytime next week to make sure your points are calculated right...I'm meeting with her Monday :) only because I've read past posts and sometimes they make mistakes
Wow, they did it all in one day. Morning group and afternoon group. They can't release the results until everyone has taken the teas. That's why I like the hesi. You can pick and choose which section to start and they give you four hours and you can take a break when you want. As you complete each section you can see your results immediately.

I am currently at RCC completing my prereqs and general education for the nursing program. I should be applying next semester but I am being discouraged by friends who are in a nursing program for their BSN. They highly recommend me to go the BSN route because BSN is going to become the standard for qualification requirements. People have been saying for years now that ADN is going to be weeded out but from reading some of the posts on the forum, many RCC nursing graduates have found jobs at local hospitals. Can you nursing graduates let me know if it is difficult to find a job without a BSN degree? Can anyone give me some insight as to what I should expect if I were to graduate with my ADN versus a BSN? I eventually plan to bridge over to BSN but as of right now, I cannot afford it financially.
