Riverside City College: Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!

Greetings everyone! December will soon be here! We will soon find out if we got in the program or not!

Thank you for your reply!!! So if we are called in to take the teas at rcc, will it be teas 5 or 6???

It will more than likely be Teas VI. Call the school to verify.

Who else has applied? :)

I just submitted my application today. 55 points before the teas. Good luck everyone.

Did anyone get their email application receipts yet?

I believe receipts don't go out till 2 weeks after submitting applications. I submitted two because my first application was blank since my adobe reader wasn't current. Hope that doesn't mess anything up for me.

I applied on septermber 1. I am sitting at 70 points before the teas. My daighter got in fall 2016 with 75 points total. Definitely save money. Lots has to be done prior to registering or getting books. If you can get your immunization records or titers now, do it!! That seemed to be the longest process for her.

Does she get summers off? Also, which cohort did she get into, spring or fall?

Congrats! Seems like you're definitely a shoe-in. Best of luck.

As far as she knows she gets the summer off with some reading and assignments due upon return to the next semester. Also she is in the fall cohort. She has already started. Their uniform policy is no joke as well.

I'm just waiting for my transcripts to go in before I submit my application. I currently sit at 80 points if I calculated the criteria correctly. Is that competitive enough? I heard that for last term they accepted pretty much everyone who had 75+. Hopefully it'll be the same this term.
