They have to let the CEP know sooner than the traditional ADN because they still have to apply to the Cal State system. Fall applies to CSUF and Spring applies to CSUSB. I got accepted to the CEP program for fall 2019 but because of a family matter i was granted a deferral so i will begin in the spring. The first semester you take two classes NRN 11/11A and a 3 unit class through the cal state so we have to be registered. I heard that they had a lot more applicants this semester for the CEP program than they did last semester. After we got our acceptance letters they gave us a week to accept or decline. Then we had to get background check, immunizations records, and apply to the cal state system the following week

So you are saying that they might reply to CEP applicants sooner than to applicants for ADN?

Do we have to apply to CAl State separately after that? How many points did you have after TEAS?

She did not specify the program, she just said 70, sometimes higher.

Yes 66 after TEAS, it isn’t high but I thought it would be enough for CEP but if there’s more applicants then no.

Maybe you'll make the alternative list. Isnt the alternatives the ones who were close to the cut off but didnt quite make it?

And they said mostly all of the alternatives get in.

Yeah but I got accepted to SBVC so if I get alternate I’ll probably deny cause I don’t want to wait around

Do you know for sure how many points they need for cep? I mean if someone who already got in told you. Or a counselor

No but everyone is saying there are more applicants this time around so the cut off points might not be mid 60s like last semester

Someone said here that Steve told him the cut off will be 70 and above. I think Steve was also speculating just. I am sure he hadn’t even started on the selection process that time.

Agreed. Also, I emailed Steve like an hour ago asking if there is a specific date CEP applicants will know, because I didn't want to apply again yet. He replied "We hope to send them within a week."

so don't hold your breathe. Good luck to everyone.

Hahaha. Yesterday he told someone two weeks. He knows how to play this game. He’s been doing it for a long time, and no amount of pressure can stop him from taking his time. Meanwhile, I heard that the selection committee comprises of several people from the SON. It’s not just Steve but a couple of people are taking their time.
