Suicidal risk assessments are part of my job, however, I've never received any special training for this. When I approached my supervisor about it, she stated the training was more of a "what do you do at YOUR school?" session. Is anyone else required to do these? This is not something I was trained to do in nursing school. I feel it is more of a counselors responsibility, but we do not have any support staff at this school other than myself!

Usually suicide risk assessments are done by the mental health staff, however, I have been asked to help and I have used these forms as a guideline. Not sure if it's what you're looking for.
