When confused patient is in toilet room, if he/she requests CNA to get out from the room, what CNA will do?

When this happens, I just tell them I'll be right outside the door and to yell/pull the light when they are finished. Then I get on the other side of the door but leave it cracked just a tiny bit so that I can still visualize them. I don't leave them completely when they are confused or demented. Too much risk involved. Most of the time they forget to yell or pull the light, and the crack in the door allows me to see when they start getting up so I can jump back in there and assist them.

This is what I would do also. You can't just walk away but you can give them some privacy by stepping outside the door.
