Rhode Island Hospital Critical Care Internship

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi! I applied to the new graduate Critical Care Internship at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital and attended the Nursing Open House back in April. Has anyone else applied/heard back yet? The program is supposed to start in July and the timeline said interviews and offers will be made in May-June. If you have already been through the program please share your experience as well! Thank you.

Update: I got the position! Any other new nurses relocating to Providence this summer/fall?

Hopefully one day . Good luck!

Nursing student but yeah! Had a shift yesterday :)

Hi! I was wondering if you can give me any advice on getting into RIH? I graduated in May 2015 and have an active RI license. I have been applying to every and any position at RIH. I will also be applying to the critical care intern winter program. Advice needed!!!

Hello! I know applying can be frustrating, I took advantage of a "nursing open house" that happened during my application process. It was soon after meeting with nurse managers there that I got the job offer. My advice would be to be persistent, keep following up with HR and any nurse managers if you know their contact information. Inquire with HR about any possible open houses in the near future. I followed up on numerous occasions and showed I was very interested. Keep at it and apply to the intern program! Good luck!

Thank u! I have an interview on 6a/6b main for part time position! I'm very excited and hope I get the position!

Did u enjoy the critical care intern program? If u don't mind me asking, what was the pay per hour? Did u work full time during this program?

My apologies but I can't publicly reveal the pay. But I can say I am very happy with it and it is impressive pay for a new grad! I'm still in the program, work full time, and enjoying it. Management is very supportive to my learning which is key. Good luck with your interview and let us know how it went!

I have a phone interview with HR next week for the neuro unit. I hope I get the position! I will defiantly be applying to the critical care program also. I don't have much experience in neuro but do have 1 year tele so I hope this is good enough for the position. Any advice is needed!
