Rhode Island College (RIC) - CRNA 2024

Calling all CRNA student applicants

Published

RIC/ SJHSN DNP Program with Specialization in Nurse Anesthesia. Hey everyone. I applied to the program starting in May 2024. I submitted a couple weeks ago and am waiting to hear on next steps. I wanted to start this thread for anyone else that has applied as well. Does anyone know how large this cohort will be? From what I could find online, in the past it has only been 10 students.

Does anyone know when we should hear back?

I received an offer letter Thursday!

Hello everyone,

I've decided I wanted to pursue CRNA but I cannot tell if I've decided too late to be possible! I'm currently in my last semester of BSN and can't tell if I'm screwed because my GPA is 3.5 and I have three Cs in beginning of nursing school, I don't know if that ruined my chances with RIC CRNA program. Anyone that got accepted willing to share stats or if you think I should retake the courses I got the Cs in ?

Hi, congratulations! I wonder if you can share some experience about the interview. Do you like the program so far? I know they just take 10 students. I bet acceptance rate is super low. Thank you!

Hey can anyone tell me how they like this program? I see that only 10 students get accepted, does anyone know how many applicants there usually are?

It's hard to say. My lowest grade was a B+ when I applied. But I'm not certain what the grades were of my classmates. It is a competitive program given the low number of seats for acceptance. So if the Cs are in any science or nursing courses I would suggest retaking at least one to should you are making the effort

I am enjoying it as much as I can so far. It's pretty much what you would expect being in a rigorous grad program. So far it's been manageable. We start anesthesia didactic this Summer, which is when *** supposedly hits the fan. I do really enjoy my cohort though, everyone gets along really well which has been helpful and awesome to have study groups.
