I have just received my suspended Iowa RN license back and am on probation for one year. My probation supervisor tells me that I can apply for a temporary license from the board of a Compact state. I am thinking of Wisconsin or Arizona. Does anyone know anything about this. Thanks

It will still be up to the state whether or not to issue you a license there. Usually they will have you wait until you are off probation. The only way that you are going to get a direct answer to this is to contact the BON directly, they are the only one that has jurisdiction to make any ruling on this. They also look at each case individually.

Well if you maintain residence in Iowa you can work in any other compact state with out having to get that states license. I am not sure however how that works if ones home state license is restricted. It would be best if you contact the state you might be moving to for that infomation.
