Retaking pre-requisite courses affect chances getting into UTHSC-SON?

Hey everyone!
So I'm applying for the Fall term of 2016, and I was just wondering if retaking courses would affect my chances of getting in? I feel like I've read something on a thread about retaking courses and how it did affect the application process negatively, but I just wanted to double check and make sure! The registration office is currently closed so I can't call and ask them about it now...and because I'm anxious I've decided to ask here and see what happens.
I'm thinking about retaking my A&P I course (I got a C...meh) and I'm considering retaking it at a community college over the summer. I might even retake a few other courses...but please let me know what you guys think!!! Thanks!

Did you find anything out about this? I'm retaking AP1 this fall along with another class, to increase my GPA, but it would be great to know if this would negatively impact our chances of getting into UTHSC...

I went to the orientation and they said it was okay to retake courses. But they also said that they are looking at everything in the transcript so if you have a 4.0 gpa with retakes and another has a 4.0 without retaking courses, they'll likely pick that person over you. As long as you don't retake every other course you should be okay.

I think if you're retaking pre-reqs to improve your GPA...I can't really see how that would affect you negatively. If anything it shows how badly you want this. Think of it this way -- low grades won't help your chances, so why not just go for it? My school literally just plugs everyone's stats into a spreadsheet and the top however many get offered a seat.
