retaking NCLEX-RN (NY state): what are the requirements?

Published

I first took NCLEX dated October 2008, unfortunately, I failed. Now, I'm thinking of taking it again, but I don't know what to do. Do I have to apply again to NY BON? like a first time applicant? please help. thanks.

Great question! I'm in FL and was wondering the same thing. Some people say: "to send a paper application along with 50$ fee, and then register with Pearson Vue 200$."

Some others say: "just pay the 200$ with Pearson vue. "

I don't know which statement is true.

Likely your authorization to test has expired, so yes - you will need to reapply again and wait for approval.

just contacted and talked to one of the personnel in Office of the Professions Nursing Unit a while ago, she told me that they still have my files and there's no need for me to reapply in NY BON, she said that all I have to do is to pay the NCLEX fee of $200 in Pearsonvue and wait for my ATT.

I'm still confused.

Leiloo I'm in fl and when I had to retake the nclex I had to print a paper application along with a money order for the fee I can't remember the exact amount but is on the FBON site. Once you mail it you should receive aproval again, however you will no longer have graduate nurse status. I hope this help sorry responded late was super busy today.

Thanks a lot my dear!!! I've read about the fee, it's 50$. I too believe it's the proper way to re-apply.
