Retaking in Indiana question...

Published

Does anyone know how long you have to retake the NCLEX in Indiana? Just wondering....Thanks

45 Days. I didnt pass on my first attempt. I called just today ( I failed Thursday) and they told me 45 days. They will send out a packet. Are you taking a review class or what is your plan?? I am trying to figure out what I am going to do now!

I really have no idea the best route to take. I didnt think there was going to be a second time. But, I am over that and trying to figure out what I can do!

Take a few days for yourself and then start your review. But suggest that you do not focus on that 45 day policy and retest when you feel comfortable.

Best of luck to you on your retake. And please be aware that there are many that do not pass the first time and it does not keep them from going on to be some of the best nurses around.

Hi MimiRN-

Are you in Indianapolis by chance? I just moved here and don't know ANYONE (except my husband). I could use a study partner for the second go around. As far as what Im going to do this time...I was thinking about doing Hurst and also the Saunders book. I did Kaplan and didn't really like them because it was all about test taking and not so much about content (although there was content on their website). What are you thinking about doing? Please let me know if you need a study partner in the Indy area...
