I'm sorry that you didn't pass, I know that it can feel horrible to study so hard, and not do very well. I took my HESI yesterday after studying for 2 days and I was able to pass, thank God. What were your individual scores? I may be able to give you the links to some of the study guides that I used based on how you did for each portion. Did you pass some and fail some and what was your overall score?
First attempt:
Reading Comp 80%
Grammer 90%
Vocab 84%
Biology 84%
Chemistry 52%
A&P 68%
Maths 86%
Overall 78.29%
Second:
Reading Comp 74%
Grammer 72%
Vocab 82%
Biology 64%
Chemistry 64%
A&P 64%
Maths 76%
Overall 70.86%
I need a 80% or higher in math and 80% or higher overall to pass. The second time I took it I guess I freaked myself out so much my mind went blank because I made a lot of foolish mistakes.

When you were taking the test, what concepts were harder for you to remember or work with in the Math and A&P sections? I didn't take the Bio or Chem sections, so I'm not sure how to help with those.
I'm pretty set on math, but I think I messed up on some conversion question. The A&P, I think it's pretty much everything. It's such a broad subject so I think I just get overwhelmed.
I'm not sure if we're allowed to post links on here, but for Math, I used
Hi Petagayle...sorry to hear about your HESI scores. The good news is that your scores do not look very low. What study guide are you using to prepare? I recommend the HESI Admission Exam Review by the makers of the test. I found it to be quite helpful. Also when did you take A & P? A lot of people say that the Hesi book does not cover everything and that is true to an extent. I did A& P 1 and 2 in the past year and so my memory served me well when I took the test 2 weeks ago. Also I found the biology and chemistry section in the HESI Admissions book covered everything that was on exam.
Good luck!
In 2 months I'm taking the Hesi exam for the third time and I'm just feeling so discouraged. I don't understand how I'm studying so hard for this test and I keep failing. I even scored lower the second time.I just want to know what are some study materials you used because clearly I'm studying the wrong way so anything is helpful.
I also highly recommend the Hesi A2 pocket prep App. I paid $12 for it and it was money well spent. It has a test bank with over 1500 questions which are very similar to questions on the HESI exam. I just did them over and over again.
Before I used quizlet a lot, watched YouTube videos and did a few practice test online but I got the Hesi Review book this time around and I think I will buy that app, I've been hearing good things about it. I took A&P two years ago but I've been going through my A&P so that's sort of helpful too.
and thank you, I'm gonna need all the luck I can get!
